Family Reunion

We had Tim's yearly family reunion end of June.  And this time, we had it up in Fairfield at Tammie and Bob's vineyard.  Can I just say, beautiful??  They have such a beautiful place up there.

I didn't take many pictures, which is surprising because as soon as we got there, I couldn't wait to grab my camera.  But, as always, we were having too much fun to take lots of pictures.

We were going to take the RV up, but Tim had to work some overtime that he couldn't get out of.  So we didn't want to drive all the way up there for two nights.  Gas was going to be over 500 bucks...so we said, ummmmm....no.  So instead, Tim borrowed a GL from work and we tented it with Nana and Granddad.  All 6 of us slept very comfortable in a 3 room tent...like little hampsters, hahaha!  Brought back memories of camping with my family at the river before they bought their RV.

Awe, the good ole days!

Here is Nana and Macy.

The kids gave Granddad his Father's Day gift.  The saying says, "God made Granddads especially for little girls."  Awe :)

Have fun looking through the rest of the pictures, I'm all out of commentary.

So there you have it, we missed a few cousins that were not able to make it up, but it was nice to see Tim's brother and his family.  It's been way too long since we've seen them.

Plus, we kidnapped Nana and took her home with us.  She stayed a week and I have pictures of that too!  Feels so good getting this blog updated :)

Father's Day Revisited

Remember in my Disneyland post where I said we went to Disneyland for Father's Day?

We did.  But the day before, everyone got together at my Mom's for Father's Day.  It was a nice, relaxing day by the pool.

Complete with a homemade dinner.  It was effortless...

We made some special gifts for the Pop Pop and the Granddad.

The hubs got a new electric razor.

Which he obviously hadn't used yet :)

This is what the girls and I made for my Dad...

It is for his office.  Granddad got the same thing but with a different saying.  I'll show you his when I post about the reunion.  And I could have sworn I took a picture of my Dad opening his gift but can't find the pictures anywhere.  I have a sneaky feeling I took them with my Mom's camera.  Mom?

Well, the kids had a great time swimming.  They are both doing so well in the pool, especially for not having any lessons.  But, I finally found a place to take the girls and we will be doing that very soon.  I think they are gonna own that pool when they are done!

I think the fathers had a good time too, watching the girls swim.  My Dad just mentioned to me the other day that he finally has another fish.  Sean used to be his fish, and now he has Riley.  I thought that was kinda cute :)

Happy Father's Day to all the men in my life!

Riley's Preschool Graduation

My baby graduated preschool.  I can't believe that she starts Kindergarten here in just 2 weeks!  And Madi starts preschool.  Wow.  I'm so proud of the little girl that Riley is turning out to be.  She's such a sweet kid with a beautiful heart.  I'm sad that she won't be going to any of the schools that her friends from preschool are going to, but I don't think it will be hard for her to make friends.  She is so excited about it, "as long as I get to see my preschool friends for play dates still."

Me, on the other hand, am not so super stoked about being out of the house and to the school by 7:35 am.  What?  7:35 am?  Time for me to grow up.  I'm not an early morning type of person.  I am...like I can do 7:30 or 8:00 am with my coffee and jammies.  Not 6:30 getting 2 kids ready for school type of early morning person.

I've been lucky enough that in the mornings when the kids wake up, they are not starving for their breakfast, at least not every day.  We snuggle and watch cartoons in bed for a little bit before we rise and shine.  Morning snuggles with the 3 sometimes 4 of us is something I will never forget, and they are coming to an end.  Enter sad face here.

Back to the graduation.  She looked like a doll...in her little cap and gown...

They put on a rather long performance and I apologize for all the noise in these pictures, I really need to get a flash for my camera because I hate the way my pictures look with the internal flash so I opted to not use it.

Each student was able to walk up to the microphone and say something.  Almost all the kids said, "I love you Mom and Dad."  When Riley went up, she paused for a few seconds (I thought she was nervous or forgot what to say or something, and we had no idea that they were doing this) and then she said, "Thank you Grandma for riding on all the rides with me at Disneyland, and I love you Mommy and Daddy!"  How cute is that?  The day we went to Disneyland with my Mom was the same day as her graduation.

And then some pictures of her friends...we were missing Chloe though, poor thing was sick and had to miss it.

Happy Graduation Riley Rush!  Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

Disneyland

Before our passes expire in August, we decided to do a lot of Disneyland trips.  Since I have Fridays off, I went a couple times with a friend, once with my Mom, and then on Father's Day, Tim and I took the girls alone.

Each time has been lots of fun.  I'm very upset that the passes have gone up tremendously and we will not be renewing our passes.  Even with monthly payments, our family of four would be $1600 for the year.  I just can't justify that in my mind.  That is a nice vacation for the four of us.

So we tried to go out with a bang!

The next couple of posts will be catch up posts with mostly pictures and very little commentary.  Just so you know!

And Father's Day...
